The Godfather of Texas hold 'em. Born in Texas , Brunson is regarded by most serious poker players as one of the top five no-limit Texas hold 'em players to ever see a flop. He has two WSOP main event bracelets to his name, and still competes regularly in the big cash games in Las Vegas . His book 'Super System' was one of the first books to seriously address poker strategy, and the no limit Texas hold 'em section still stands as the text on this fascinating and complicated game.

Doyle Brunson Fast Facts:

•  He won both of his WSOP main event titles when holding ten deuce offsuit on the final hand; a hand that has since been termed 'The Brunson'.

•  He was a spectacular basketball player in college, and was a bona fide pro prospect before a bizarre injury cobbled his leg.
