Same Players - Different Poker Sites

Question
Hi, I'm new to online poker, but i was at Coral's play tables and then went to Party Poker's play tables and saw exactly the same players at the same table! is this normal?

Answer
Yes. Coral, along with Empire, Eurobet, Intertops and Multi Poker are what are called ‘skins' of the Party network. They bring in their own players, and they are credited for the rake that these players contribute, but all their players are funneled into the Party games. Other skin networks include the Pokerroom.com network, which includes Pokerroom, Betholdem and Bet on Bet, and the Prima Network, which includes Royal Vegas, The Gaming Club, and many others.

Skin networks are often established by gambling sites who want the profits that a poker player can generate, but don't want to go through the motions of establishing their own rooms. Thus, you'll often see sportsbooks advertise their ‘own poker room', when in fact any players that sign up with them will be channeled into an established room. The relationship works well for both parties—it helps keep the games full, which benefits the main poker provider, and it provides an additional income stream for established online gaming sites who have not set up their own poker room.
