The Softest Texas Hold em Games

I read in one of your articles that you've played in a ton of poker rooms. Out of curiousity, which casino did you think had the softest games?

Do you mean land-based or online? The slam dunk winner for land based casinos is the Harrah's in East Chicago , Indiana . If you live in the Chicago area you owe it to yourself to check these games out—they're just stupid soft. Runner up awards go to the Sandia in Albuquerque , NM , and to the Commerce in LA. As far as online goes the softest Texas hold em games can be found at either Pacific Poker or Inter Poker, with Paradise Poker and Party Poker close on their heels.

If you're playing smaller than $2-$4, however, you're absolute best bet is to go from room to room and collect the sign-up and reload bonuses as you play. This will literally triple your profit margin—in fact, I'm convinced a guy would have zero problem making $1000 a week if he took advantage of all the sign ups and reloads offered at various online poker rooms and played a decent brand of Hold em. It just sickens me to see all these players languishing in the Party Poker $1-$2. Sure, the Party Poker games are soft, but it's not like the small limit Texas hold em games at any online poker room are exactly shark tanks. And if you can score an extra $50-$100 for every 1000 raked hands you're really going to add to your bottom line. Of course, if you're playing higher than $5-$10 you're probably better off sticking with a large, established poker room—either one of the four mentioned earlier here, or perhaps either Absolute or one of the Prima skins (Gaming Club, etc.).
